Danish gambling operator Danske Spil has enhanced its partnership with GVC Holdings PLC (LSE:GVC) after announcing that it has joined the firm’s international online bingo network.
Courtesy of the integration, the Copenhagen-headquartered operator will become part of a liquidity bingo network which already boasts industry-leading brands such as Ladbrokes and Coral, Cheeky Bingo and Foxy Bingo.

Long-standing relationship:
GVC Holdings, and previously Bwin.Party Digital Entertainment, which was acquired by the Danish online sports betting and gaming provider in 2016, have provided both online gaming content and poker content to the 1948-founded state-owned lottery company since January 2012, when the Danish iGaming market was first regulated.

Store closures:
GVC recently provided an update regarding the impact of further enforced store closures across the United Kingdom and European retail as a result of increased restrictions due to Covid-19.
Restrictions and guidelines on retail stores currently in place are:
- Stores in England will close from November 5 until December 3 (subject to Parliamentary approval).
- Stores in Scotland and Northern Ireland currently remain open.
- In Wales, all stores are currently closed and are expected to re-open on November 9.
- In the Republic of Ireland, all shops are expected to be closed until December 2.
- In Italy, all shops, but not corner outlets, are closed until November 24.
- All stores in Belgium are closed until December 13.
The estimated EBITDA impact of currently required retail closures for UK retail is £27m and £10m for European retail, according to GVC.
