Details of the Summer Championships
The poker series will be hosted by Poker Palace and run from February 16 through March 8. The series started with the Main Event satellite along with satellites for the High Roller Event, the Six-Max High Roller, and the SuperHigh Roller.
The poker series officially started on February 21 with the Six-Max High Roller, featuring a buy-in of $1,100 and $60,000 in prize money. It was followed by the Monster Stack and more satellites. The Main Event Warm Up’s started on Friday and this week, the Main Event officially starts.
Headline Week
Starting on March 1, we have the headline week of the series. The first event is the Teams tournament, with a $500 buy-in. Players start with 20,000 in chips and blind levels will increase every 20/30 minutes. Next is the High Roller event, with a $2,500 buy-in and $150,000 in total prize money. This event features 100,000 in chips and 40 minute blind levels.
The Main Event is perhaps the most anticipated of the series. this event has a buy-in of $1,150 and a total prize pool of $250,000. Start with 50,000 in chips with 45 minute blind levels. Main Event Day 1A starts on March 4. Day 1B is scheduled for March 5 and 1C is March 6. Day 2 of the Main Event will start on March 7 and play down to the winner on March 8.
Also on March 8, the final day of the tournament, we have the Bounty event and the Super High Roller. The Bounty has a $550 buy-in with $250 going to the prize pool and $250 going to the player bounty. Blind levels will increase every 25 minutes in this event with 50,000 in starting chips provided.
For the Super High Roller, players must pay $5,000 to compete. The total prize pool is $150,000. A total of 100,000 in chips are provided. Blind levels increase every 40 minutes. The High Roller events have the largest chip stacks throughout the entire series.
