Gambling software development company Playtech (LON:PTEC) has extended its long-term content agreement with Ireland’s largest independent bookmaker, BoyleSports, for a further five years.
Under the terms of the agreement, the Isle of Man-based firm’s partnership with the Irish bookmaker for the UK and Ireland will be extended. Playtech will maintain a dedicated casino tab, as well as supply live casino exclusively to BoyleSports, in addition to its award-winning poker and bingo content.
Key partner:
The contract extension that now sees the partnership into 2025, will reportedly help maintain Playtech’s status as leading software provider to operators in regulated markets.
Chief Operating Officer for Playtech, Shimon Akad, commented on the contract extension in a company press release, saying…
“BoyleSports is one of Playtech’s key trusted long-term partners. BoyleSports has delivered continued growth and is one of the leading operators in regulated markets. We are proud to have grown with them across four key product verticals in its core markets. We’re very much looking forward to working together over the next five years to continue delivering innovative content backed by industry-leading technology”.
Market success:
Founded in 1989, Ireland’s largest and most successful independently owned bookmaker has grown to more than 250 shops on the European island country and now offers telephone, mobile and internet gaming services there and in the UK, as well as a range of other international markets. In 2011, the company purchased shops from William Hill when it departed the Irish market.
For its part, BoyleSports Chief Executive Officer Conor Gray offered…
“Having had a strong and successful partnership with Playtech for many years now, the extension of our agreement for another five years represents an exciting opportunity to continue growing our business. We’re passionate about creating the best possible player experience across all verticals, and we’re confident that the continued partnership with Playtech will allow us to do exactly that.”
Rank Group extension:
The current deal is on the heels of Playtech’s five-year extension with another one of its key operator partners, Rank Group plc. The new extended agreement covers the UK-based gambling company’s long-established brand Mecca Bingo, in addition to a pair of new brands, Kitty Bingo and Lucky Pants, and will see Playtech continue to exclusively provide its bingo platform alongside games content.
Chief Marketing Officer for Rank, James Boord said…
“We are an entertainment-first brand, so it is imperative that we drive innovation and growth by always exceeding the expectations of our customers. As such, we are delighted to be continuing and extending our long working relationship with Playtech. We continue to build on our market leading position and sustained growth and Playtech has a track record like no other supplier, both as a technology provider and content developer, making them a clear choice as our exclusive long-term Bingo provider.”
